Phlorizin 98% is a dihydrochalcone isolated from apples peel, apple bark or leaves, which is also the glucoside of phloretin. It is insoluble in ether and cold water, soluble in ethanol and hot water. After prolonged exposure to aqueous solutions, it will be hydrolyzed to phloretin and glucose.
