Is Centella Asiatica Extract Safe ?
1) The Announcement on the Catalogue of the Names of Used Cosmetic Raw Materials issued by the State Food and Drug Administration in 2014 and the 2010 edition of the Catalogue of International Cosmetic Raw Materials Standard Chinese Names by the China Fragrance Association both listed asiatic acid and asiaticoside as a cosmetic raw material.
2) The American Cosmetic Association (CFTA) also uses asiatic acid and asiaticoside as cosmetic raw materials.
3) Centella asiatica extract was also included in the "List of Used Cosmetic Ingredients" approved and discussed by the Ministry of Health of the People‵s Republic of China in 2001.
