The process of stigmasterol preparation
The process flow chart of stigmasterol Powder preparation was shown as below. Phytosterol ester was selected as raw materials. A certain amount of phytosterol ester was added into ethyl acetate solvent and stirred at 55 oC for 30 min. The stigmasterol supernatant was obtained by freezing at -20 oC. Then saponification reaction was carried out with 3 mol/L NaOH ethanol solution. The suspension was filtered, and then the filter cake was dissolved with n-butanol, followed by filtration. The 95 % stigmasterol product (filter cake) was obtained by gradient cooling at 20 oC. The filtrate was evaporated, n-butanol was recycled.
