Azelaic Acid Powder, molecular formula C9H16O4, CAS 123-99-9, is a natural saturated dicarboxylic acid, white or off-white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water, ether, easily soluble in ethanol. It has antibacterial, acne-dissolving, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and tyrosinase-inhibiting effects, and is well-known in acne treatment.
